Itinerary

Day 1 | Toronto
Arrive in Toronto and check in at our elegant airport hotel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome drink and meet fellow travellers at our pre-departure briefing.

Day 2 | Embarkation, Nuuk
After breakfast, board a private charter flight to Nuuk, Greenland. Embark the Sylvia Earle, settle into your stateroom, and meet the expedition team during our welcome dinner.

Day 3 | Sisimiut
Explore Greenland’s second-largest town, just above the Arctic Circle. Discover Inuit history at the local museum and enjoy scenic hiking trails offering sweeping mountain views.

Day 4 | Qeqertarsuaq, Disko Island
Wander along black sand beaches and marvel at the volcanic landscapes of Disko Island. On the Kuannit hike, walk among ancient basalt columns and wildflowers, with a chance to spot whales in the bay.

Days 5–7 | Expedition Cruising
Subject to weather and ice, we explore the fjords and islands of northwestern Greenland, including:

  • Uummannaq: Home to Greenland’s iconic heart-shaped mountain and ancient Qilakitsoq mummies.

  • Upernavik: A labyrinth of islands and ice, rich in cultural history and ideal for kayaking among icebergs.

Day 8 | At Sea

Return to this captivating island for a Zodiac cruise through iceberg-filled waters, followed by a cultural stroll through the charming village.

Days 10–11 | Ataa Sund & Ilulissat Icefjord
Sail through iceberg-dotted Ataa Sund and visit Ilulissat, where the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier feeds ice into the bay at an astonishing rate — a breathtaking sight in the birthplace of icebergs.

Day 12 | Aasivissuit–Nipisat UNESCO World Heritage Site
Visit a traditional settlement near this remarkable cultural site, where Inuit heritage and sustainable living traditions are preserved. The ethereal Qaammat Pavilion offers panoramic views over Ikeertoq Fjord.

Day 13 | Eternity Fjord
